Funny how last week I had nothing to report, and this week there's a ton. First things first, we celebrated FIVE whole years of marriage (what in the world) on Friday! Conrad is the best husband and baby daddy, and he keeps getting scruffier and handsomer as the years go on. Plus, his hair is getting kind of gray, and nothing does it for me like gray. Graaaayyyy! He got me the DSLR camera I've been wanting for years, and I got him a mini barbeque and BBQ accessories for long beach days and picnics this summer. I love him so much!
Friday morning, I chopped off all my hair. Ok, so it's actually still kind of long, but I cut off about ten inches. How did it even get that long? Pregnancy hormones, is how. And now, post-pregnancy hormones are causing it to fall out by the brush-full, and I decided that eight-inch strands of hair all over the house was better than eighteen-inch strands. Plus, I needed a change, and this was it. And I love it, and I can't believe I waited so long.
After my haircut, we drove up to my parents' house and spent the weekend there. We heard John Bytheway speak at my brother's Youth Conference, went out to dinner with our married besties, hung out by the pool a little (I actually squeezed into a bathing suit), and spent lots of time with family. The picture of Henny crying was actually a really sweet picture: He's laying on my threadbare childhood blankie. He used it for naps and nights, and it was really sweet to me that my baby was using my baby blanket. He had just woken up from a nap and was sensitive, but I set him down to snap a picture and he was really mad about it. No regrets!
A great weekend in my book.
