Back in the heart of summer, Conrad and I bought tickets a while ago for a David Byrne and St. Vincent concert for last Wednesday. It was at a small, outdoor hotel venue down by the bay. It was the teensiest bit chilly, which was wonderful. The sky was cloudy and purple.
We ate at Bali Hai, a restaurant right over the water, and just walking distance from the venue.
The concert was super fun. We snuggled under a blanket and enjoyed the music. David Byrne, the former lead singer of the no-longer band The Talking Heads and St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) made an album together, so we heard lots of their collaborated songs as well as their own songs. It was super dancy and fun. Best song of the night: Burning Down the House. If you don't know it already, then I have two things to say to you: shame on you, and go look it up.
Sorry about the picture quality. It was pretty dark. We had awesome seats.
