I love giveaways. I love entering them, hosting them, and winning them. Lately, I find myself entering only Rafflecopter giveaways. If I come across a giveaway, but the blogger requires me to "leave 100 separate comments" for each entry, I skip it. That takes way too much time.
I can't imagine it's easier for the blogger, either. Who wants to count through hundreds of comments?
Are you guys as weirdly picky as me? Do you enter any type of giveaway, or do you prefer rafflecopter giveaways versus comment giveaways? What are your favorite giveaway items? I love ad space, shop credit, or products. I also love art.
PS- don't forget to enter the September Sponsor giveaway! Only one day left!
I agree, I love the Rafflecopter ones. When people don't use Rafflecopter for the giveaway I wonder why! It's SO much easier :)

I have a little bit of an older age group following my blog and the rafflecopter giveaways I did resulted in a lot of confusion! Lol. Poor ladies! Right now I'm doing a giveaway with just comment entries and then I'll use the random generator site to pick my winner. I gave the option for 3 entries via 3 separate comments and I am noticing a lack of participation for the traffic coming through. Either the giveaway is bad or the 3 comments is too much work! Next month I think I'll try rafflecopter again.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should do a post on "How to use Rafflecopter!" Then link to it in your giveaways, so if anyone is confused, they can refer to that.
Deletei have a giveaway going on the blog right now that uses the "separate comments" kind of format just so that i could try it out. otherwise, i know what you mean about rafflecopter being a lot easier. i'll probably use that again for my next one!
ReplyDeleteI'm just like you, lately if it's not a rafflecopter style giveaway, I pass. They just make it too easy for us! How lazy does that make me sound? lol
ReplyDeleteI know, we're totally lazy. Of course, if I want whatever is being given away, I'll do a few comments, but if there are like 50 comments I have to do, I'll only do a couple.
DeleteI'm not that picky, but you're right, rafflecopter is much easier than leaving comments. I don't mind when you only have to leave one comment, but leaving multiples is annoying. But I love free stuff, so I will enter any giveaway that I come across!
ReplyDeleteIf I really want the items in the giveaway, I'll enter it regardless of the method. I'll definitely do more entries in rafflecopter, because I don't even have to leave the site to follow on facebook and twitter.
DeleteIf it's an item I'm interested in having, it doesn't matter to me if it's a Rafflecopter giveaway or not. I'll suffer through the pain. My main beef is mostly how people set up their Rafflecopter giveaways. I hate it when a giveaway has a ton of "mandatory" entries before unlocking the bonus ones. Sometimes I don't want to follow someone on fifty-bajillion different services, one is totally fine!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. Having a few mandatory entries is good, then they have the option to do additional ones afterward.
DeleteI only enter Rafflecopter, and I only enter if there aren't too many steps. That's just too much for me to deal with.
ReplyDeleteI took that into account with the one I'm hosting right now. It's a very simple giveaway :)
I only ever enter if it's through rafflecopter!
ReplyDeleteI even made a tutorial for how to set up a giveaway with rafflecopter that's waiting to be scheduled!
Yes! I am spoiled with rafflecopter and have to REALLY want the item to do it through comments. Also, I find the giveaways with too many sponsors tends to wear me out too. I also get sick of all the ad space giveaways. I want an item! LOL.
